Movie: Cyborg She (MUST WATCH)
Did some movie search in yahoo.sg this morning, intend to watch a movie soon but the coming week was my project critic week. I basically have no time for movies.
But still im curious whether there's any new movie up for me to watch, And i saw Cyborb She.
In my mind the first movie i tot of was a movie feature by korean star RAIN which i've watched quite long ago.
Aww. Tt show basically such a waste of my money. Its still watchable and i did laugh abit but i think i would rather watch online to watch in a theathe.
Boku no Kanojo wa Cyborg aka My Girlfriend, a Cyborg
in Singapore they translate into "Cyborg She"
I still did a search in Youtube as i wanna know whether Cyborg She was as lame as I'm Cyborg But That Ok.
but the movie trailer turns out to be a romance / comedy movie, and the cyborg turns out to be a very CHIO cyborb (Ayase Haruka!) from 2070. Japanese romance films seldom disappoint me, from Taiyou No Uta aka A Song to the Sun to Koizora aka Sky Of Love, so i'm sure i'll not be disappoint this time.
i shannt say much, look at the trailer.

A SILVER OLYMPIC MEDAL!!
Happy for Singapore.

kind of predicted that Singapore would get the silver. How would Zhang Yi Ning spare a chance to Singapore to even will a match.

F.I.R S'pore Concert. SUCKS? ROCKS?
Last Friday was 8th August 2008. It was the Beijing Olympic Opening Ceremony. When i was suppose to watch the live broadcast of the opening ceremony, i chosen to watch a concert by my favourite mandopop band F.I.R. Singapore was the first stop of the F.I.R 《第十行星》concert outside Taiwan.
As a big fan of them, i definately got the most expensive range out of the 4.
Went there with myfir friends and jasleen. My seat was so good. It was direct middle of the stand and i was in the 3rd.

The concert was selling real good i assumed as the stadium was more then 90% filled.
The Atmosphere was great when i first step in. The stage setting was nice.
I was so excited when the concert was about to start.
I wanted to take photos as well as drowning myself in Faye's beautiful vocal and its kind of difficult to multitask. So i told myself to snap alot in the first 20% of the song and enjoy the 80% of the rest of the song.
The concert starts with a hit song (無限 aka Unlimited) from their second album. Everyone in mine row and the front stand was so high and we all stood. Then 2 bloody damn morons sitting behind me and jasleen starts to whine:
morons: Aa... 坐下leh.. 站什麼站..
i turned back but i just did fufiled what they wanted. Enjoying the Concert, don't have time to care about them.
And after the 3rd song. They started to whine again.
morons: wahlau ehh.. 我很想打人.. 他們還不要坐.
we ignored again, and continue-ing to high with the whole group of people jumping with the beat while enjoying the song.
What was my feedback to the 2 damn morons behind. I'm so sorry that i can't do much help for you. If you wan to sit down to watch the concert while most of the people are standing, please wait for the Concert DVD to launch and stick your butt down at your home comfy couch.
Or rather watch 费玉清 concert.
If you like MAYDAY as well. i suggest you not to buy if there a concert, as everyone would be standing and if you whine, you will get SHIT from the fans.

Many of my favourite songs were sang except 你很愛他﹐雨樱花 and 刺鸟.
At the first half of the concert, the atmosphere wasn't as high compared to the second half after special guest (Jam Hsiao) performed. F.I.R blasted out with 第十行星 which affect almost 60% of the spectators to stand.
F.I.R ended the concert will their first album hit "Fly Away" and i just can't get enough of the concert.
damn.. guess i have to wait for 2nd concert.
My view to the concert was they did their best for the concert, and i enjoying myself alot. Its a great concert. you missed it, you lugi.

oh and something sucks big time.
i was suppose to spend big bucks in concert mechandise but what sucks was the design.
EERrk. When i first saw the design, i was so rejected by the ugly logo on every piece of mechandise. The font use for it is chaos. What i had to say was no efforts was made.

YES! SINGAPORE MADE IT! AN OLYMPIC MEDAL!!!!!!
After all the waiting, we have got at least a Silver MEDAL!
it was a damn exciting match between the Korea and Singapore in e semi-final table tennis.
Text sms will soon flood your phone with congrats messages.
Won't dare to aim for a GOLD. Thats is a for sure for China.

Bangkok Day 2 - Grand n Manificent?
On day1, we ended it with our supper.
In the morning of the second day, im the first to woke up. Din really slp also too. was woking my every hour to c whether the sun rise already, am afraid the both of my roommates heard my snorings. (i snores loud ok)
First thing to do was to get prepared and woke the rest up.
While waiting for them to prepare, i like to enjoy the sceneries of the local daily life. Our hotel ain't locate at the shopping siam area, and more to a neighbourhood area so theres more chances in seeing how the locals leads their life.
After everyone finish preparing, we set off to the hotel cafe for the everyday complimentary buffet breakfast. The Decor of the cafe uses lots of recycle materials to DIY, suchs as the cute couch and lightings. At the same building of the cafe, the 3rd floor was a boutique shop selling things that made of recycled materials.
The breakfast was something close to American breakfast which offers toast with jams, scramble eggs/sunny side up, bacon n sausages, yogurts and fruit juices as well as Cornflakes with milk. Local Thai breakfast like fried rice n noodles, a dubious looking soup and mix veges (cabbages, carrots,smallcorns,brocollies, cauliflowers) which quite similar to our Claypot tofu kind of mix veges. The breakfast was quite a wide spread tasting not bad although the thai fried rice n noodles seems too oily.
cons. - if stay there for quite a few days. u will get sick of the breakfast as throughout the 7days the breakfast are of the same spread.
After breakfast we head down to the Grand Palace by the fastest and cheapest way, the taxi. Our initial idea was to take BTS to Saphan Taksin Station , and from there will walk abit to the Sathorn Pier which we will take the Chao Phraya Express Boat to Tha Tien Pier, which is the nearest pier to Grand Palace. But we forgo the idea as its more time and cost consuming.
The Friendly Hotel staffs help us to flag a cab and make sure it goes by metered and took down the taxi numbered to ensure our safety.
Grand palace was packed with many visitors at tt time with is abt 10+am.
Heard that its a kind of festival going on and had kind of holidays.
Cute little trees which was shaped similar to the structure ( the chedis, if im nt wrong) of the Grand Palace. The Weather was freaking hot. The Sky was really nice. Its a great day for photography.
Went to Queue for the tickets, tickets we got was in a package consist, entrance pass for Grand Palace, Wat Phra Kaew (Emerald Buddha), Pra Thi Nang Viman Mek and some other place which not in our plans.
A bottle of mineral is a MUST during that kind of weather. After we got ourself a bottle of drink, we started our exploring.
The place was so majestic looking as the structures were mostly gold or shiny tiles.
The masterpieces structures were completed in the 1700s. The structures were also highly detailed as u can see. Really impressed with the peoples who build them.
Its a petty that the Emerald Buddha was not allowed to visit during the day of our visit. heard that the buddha was carved from jade. The crowd started to get more, and local thais did some praying during the day of festive.
We sat down on one of the shelter and did some planning on our next trip to Wat Pho.
i did some research online and heard that we can travel to Wat Pho by walking and we did.
Travel to Wat Pho was a 20mins walk. Along the way there, theres many streets vendor selling 2nd hand things as well as handicrafts and foods alongside the road with trees to shade. i got a glasses from one of the vendor. Asking for direction was also what we did along the road.
Wat Pho was at a corner of a T-junction. There were drinks vendor in front as well similar to many place of interest.
Local visiting the Reclined Buddha had a different entrance from the tourist as we need to pay for the admission fees. This Particular temple is the largest and oldest wat(temple) in Bangkok, as its built 200years before Bangkok became the Capital of Thailand. but don't expect to see the original form of the temple as King Rama I almost entirely rebuilt.
The golden plated reclined buddha was measured 46 meters long and 15 meters high. The buddha looks very relaxed from my observance. There are many details on the foot of the reclined buddha, those are the 108 auspicious characteristics of the true Buddha.
*take note*
those who likes to wear cap, you are not allowed to wear it in most of the temples. so if you doesnt wan to remove your cap after long hours of wearing it and the hair beneath your cap has turn wet due to sweat, please dont wear it.
y i mention it, cause yj met this problem, and he bin3 chao4 chao3 for an hour plus. haa
And when yj was asked to remove his cap, after awhile he has no mood and he left the temple and said he will wait for us outside. Jasleen and i continued, and we saw a chain of buckets where people tossing coins into it for good luck (chok dee!). And we kaypo kaypo go queue and change the coins too and tried.
